Home Page - Under Construction | So ... You Are Building a House in Florida! Our Experience Building in the Lakes of Mount Dora Community Purpose: This site presently has two goals: First, to share information about our experience in designing / building a house and making it our home in a new development in Mount Dora, Florida during the 2004 - 2007 time period; and Second, to provide information and links that could be helpful to others who are moving into the community. Designing Our Custom Home We worked with our builder, Pringle Development to design and personalize our new home. Our experience is detailed at this link: lakesofmountdora1.blogspot.com
The Waiting Stage After Design - Final Prints, Financing, & Permit After we gave the ok to start, or Notice to Proceed (NTP), we had to wait for final construction prints to be created, financing to be agreed with the builder, and a building permit to be issued. Our experience is detailed at this link:

| Who are we?We're Cap & Judi Thomas. Our new home is being built in Pringle's Lakes of Mount Dora community, in Mount Dora, Florida. We lived near Ann Arbor, Michigan for thirty years before deciding to retire in Central Florida. In September, 2006, we sold our Michigan home and moved to a rental home near Mount Dora, Florida, so we could watch our new home being built. |
Check back for updates frequently! | This website will be updated weekly during the home construction phase. New updates 09/05/2007 As we learn about our community, we'll add more useful links. |
